A spectacular journey from the rugged mountains of Bosnia to the sunny, stone-carved cities of Herzegovina - four of the country's most iconic landmarks in a single day.
If you only have one day to see Herzegovina while staying in Sarajevo, this is the tour. We take you on a spectacular journey from the rugged mountains of Bosnia to the warm, sun-drenched stone cities of Herzegovina - from a 17th-century Ottoman bridge to a waterfall oasis at the end of the day.
The Itinerary
Our first stop is the historic town of Konjic, where the mountains of Bosnia meet the spirit of Herzegovina. Built in 1682, the Stari Most of Konjic is considered one of the most beautiful Ottoman bridges in the Balkans, spanning the emerald Neretva River with perfect stone arches.
We arrive in Mostar, a city where East meets West. The world-famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) dominates the skyline - watch local divers leap into the cold river below while you explore the vibrant Old Bazaar (Kujundžiluk), lined with craftsmen, copperware, and the smell of Bosnian coffee.
Just a short drive from Mostar lies the breathtaking spring of the Buna River. The 600-year-old Dervish Tekke monastery is tucked into a massive rock face, its emerald reflection shimmering in the pool below. The water here is so pure you can drink it straight from the source.
We save the most refreshing stop for last. The massive Kravice Waterfalls cascade 25 meters into a natural amphitheater of turquoise pools - the perfect place to cool off in the summer heat or simply sit and absorb the sound of roaring water before our comfortable drive back to Sarajevo.
